About

Our Story

Built in Oklahoma. Grown by doing the work.

Northwest Companies started the way most good Oklahoma businesses start — by doing one thing well, then being asked to do the next thing.

What began as a regional crane and rigging operator grew because customers kept asking for more: Can you also handle the haul? Can you stage the components? Can you keep the line moving while the silo is being placed? Each of those questions added a capability — and over time, those capabilities became three full divisions sharing one dispatch desk, one safety program, and one engineering team.

What hasn’t changed

  • The company is still family-owned. We aren’t optimizing for an exit. We’re optimizing for being the operator a wind-farm developer, a refinery, or a power generator wants to call back next year.
  • The work is still done by our crews on our equipment. We don’t subcontract the moments that matter.
  • Decisions are made fast and locally. If your job calls at 2 a.m., the person who answers can move the equipment and approve the budget.

What’s grown

  • From one yard to 14, across Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, and Missouri — staged along the central-U.S. energy corridor.
  • From regional to nationwide, with crews and equipment routinely working sites in 30+ states.
  • From cranes to crane + heavy haul + bulk logistics — the three service lines that customers told us belonged together.

What stays the same about every job

Every project — large or small, residential or industrial — runs through the same operating system: an engineered plan, a pre-job safety briefing, the right equipment for the load, certified personnel, and a dispatcher who’s awake when you call.

That’s the part you can’t see in a spec sheet. It’s the part that makes the rest of it work.

One call covers the crane, the haul, and the logistics. We’ll spec the crew, the equipment, and the route — and put a written quote in your hands.
