Component Storage & Transloading

Yard storage, kit staging, and rail-to-truck transloading — keep components ready for the lift.

When the lift is ready before the components are — or vice versa

Industrial projects rarely run on a perfect schedule. Components arrive early. Rail cars don’t sync with crane availability. The lay-down yard is full. The fabricator ships in batches that don’t match the install sequence.

We solve all of that with yard storage at our 14 staged facilities and transloading services that bridge rail, truck, and the job site.

Services we provide

Yard storage

  • Fenced, lit, access-controlled yards
  • Outdoor lay-down space and indoor storage as needed
  • Inventory tracking with photo documentation
  • Receiving inspection on inbound
  • Release-on-demand outbound

Transloading

  • Rail-to-truck for project cargo, modules, and oversize components
  • Truck-to-truck for cross-docking and final-mile staging
  • Lift equipment on site (cranes and forklifts as required)
  • Documentation handoff, BOL, and weight certification

Kit staging

  • Receive components as fabricated
  • Store in install sequence
  • Release on just-in-time cadence to job site
  • Coordinated with crane and heavy haul scheduling

Where this fits

  • Wind farm builds — blade, tower section, and nacelle staging
  • Refinery turnarounds — replacement vessel and module staging
  • Modular construction — kit staging matched to install sequence
  • Power generation — transformer and switchgear staging
  • Pipeline projects — pipe and skid staging

Frequently asked questions

Do you provide secured yard storage?

Yes. Components stored at our yards are inside fenced and lit facilities with documented access control. Yards are staffed during business hours; after-hours response is available.

Can you transload from rail to truck?

Yes — both flat-rack rail-to-truck and bulk pneumatic transloading (the latter through our bulk logistics division). For project cargo, we run rail-to-truck transloads at our equipped yards.

How does kit staging work?

Kit staging means we receive components as they arrive, store them in your project sequence, and release them on a just-in-time delivery cadence to the job site. This is common for wind, refinery turnaround, and modular construction projects where on-site lay-down space is limited.

Do you charge by the day or by the load?

Yard storage is typically priced per square foot or per piece per day with a minimum. Transloading is priced per load. Long-term project storage is quoted as a project rate.
